Pierre Claver Nahimana, chairman of Sahwanya FRODEBU party says their withdrawal from the platform doesn’t mean that they will not collaborate with the opposition platform. “Even in the last meeting with CNARED, we agreed upon working with any internal or external organization that promotes democracy, human rights, independence and freedom,” he says.

Sahwanya FRODEBU calls on all supporters of the democratic ideology to join the party so that it can become a dynamic democratic front ready to undertake the socio-political reconstruction.
In 2017, Sylvestre Ntibantunganya, former Burundian president and Alice Nzomukunda, second deputy president withdrew from the coalition of opponents in exile-CNARED which was created after the outbreak of 2015 crisis.
