Dmax is a company that takes initiative to boost EAC and international artists. It is based in Kenya- Nairobi. Burundian artists will also benefit from this.-Yves Didier Irakoze
Niyonzima Ephraim known as Mr. Niyo, a Burundian gospel singer and executive committee member of Dmax living at Nairobi wants to promote Burundian singers through Dmax Entertainment Company. The latter is operational in EAC and USA and is willing to promote EAC singers. “I realized that Burundian gospel singers are somehow not advanced and developed as secular music singers while in other EAC member states gospel singers are united and advanced. Then, I feel called upon to help Burundian gospel singers in particular and secular singers in general,” states Mr. Niyo. He adds that Dmax Entertainment will not only work with well-known Burundian singers but also with the new singers and organize some concerts as well as auditions and festivals. “During the different auditions by Dmax with Burundian singers, those who are better than others will sign a contract and work with Dmax Entertainment in Kenya,” declares Mr. Niyo. He goes on saying that in August this year, they plan to organize a concert in Burundi where they will gather local, EAC and international artists and exhibit various cultures. According to him, Dmax Entertainment will set up media like a TV station and a radio broadcasting to display songs of EAC international artists especially gospel music of the region for the singers’ promotion. “Dmax will soon open its office here in Burundi before the end of this year,” points out Mr. Niyo. He invites all artists to bring their ideas, work hard and stand together so that Dmax Company may help them. “Burundian artists are talented and are now invading the world through music, so it’s up to them to show their skills to be supported,” concludes Mr. Niyo.
“A lovely and wonderful project”
According to Ndaboroheye Emery known as Emy, a Burundian gospel singer, this project is the best one to Burundian singers. “Working with this company will make Burundian artists improve and be known. Meeting other artists from Kenya, working with them, also producing there will widen our mind and we will be open to the world,” states Emy. He adds that if someone produces his/her tune in USA, he/she is known all over the world, to mean that to get the opportunity to produce in Kenya and work with that Company will make some artists be discovered around the world. “I appreciate this project because things will change. So, I call upon all artists to combine their efforts and work in partnership with Dmax Entertainment because this will bring progress in music especially gospel music,” says Emy.
